You're Amazing!

Hi Roadies! This week I'm excited to share a card I made using the Amazing Human stamp set. This set has wonderful sentiments, a gorgeous font, and is perfect to make cards for your favorite humans!

"You transcend labels" caught my eye first. As soon as I saw that sentiment, I knew I wanted to incorporate the transgender pride flag colors. I stamped the sentiment in black pigment ink on watercolor and mixed my shades of blue and pink (don't be afraid to experiment with your watercolors if you don't have the perfect hue!). I waited for my ink to dry, then made a messy blue background around the sentiment. I added pink splatter while the blue was wet, which created soft pink splatters.

I used a heat tool to dry the background, then added more pink and blue splatter. Last was a bit of pearlescent splatter, then I let it dry. To add interest, I used stitched rectangle dies to create a border around the sentiment and a small heart die for extra dimension. I adhered my border to my card base, popped up the center on foam tape, and inlayed the hearts directly against the card base. I thought it needed a bit of sparkle, so the final touch was a trail of sequins.
