Hi Roadies! I'm so excited to share my first Inked Girl creation with you this week. Meet Kelly:

Kelly was my first Inked Girl (I have added a few more to my collection since 🤭). Her heart shaped balloons caught my eye first, then I noticed the amazing sentiment quotes with this set!

I wanted to make a card that represented how love can span the stars, so I stamped Kelly on black watercolor paper with Versamark ink and heat set with white embossing powder. I painted the balloons with colorshift watercolors--if you look carefully as you turn the card, you can see the colors change before your eyes!

I painted a loose metallic blue around Kelly and her balloons, as I imagine she travels the stars trailing a cloud of sparkling space dust behind her. I lightly splattered purple metallic watercolor and waited for that to dry before added a few stars with a white gel pen. I covered each balloon with Nuvo drops because I couldn't find my Glossy Accents. Worked perfectly!

I adore every single sentiment in this set, but I had to use "your heart and my heart are very old friends" first. As an only child, I embrace the idea of friendships that break the boundaries of space and time and I'm lucky to have several of those friendships in my life. This card is a tribute to the friends that have become family throughout the years.
