What an amazing step for Women!

Hey Roadies! I hope you are having a fantastic summer so far! I am up on the blog today writing about this great new Vice President that the United States has! Madam Vice President is a strong stamp set celebrating Kamala Harris on her VP win. This is not only a win for the United States, but a win for colored women, and women around the world. So many little girls have someone they can look up to, admire, and aspire to be! 

I wasn't too sure how to execute this card. I knew I wanted red, white and blue for my colors, but I had no patterned paper that celebrates the USA. I went over a few design ideas and none of them seemed to be right. I hate when that happens, so I try to step out of my box and use craft supplies I haven't touched in awhile. Out came all my distress inks, stencils, and glitter paste. I took Festive Berries, and Blueprint Sketch distress inks over a star stencil and tried to make it not overlap. Then I took my glitter glaze and scraped it over the entire stencil without wiping off the distress ink and that's why there is some mudding. So when you're going to do that, be sure to wipe down the stencil, and try to place it down again for your glitter glaze. You will still get some smudging of the distress ink, but not as much. After staring at it awhile, I started to love the look of the stars. 

I hope I was able to convey a firework celebration of stars for Madam Vice President, Kamala Harris.
