Breaking Up Is The New Hooking Up

Just kidding, I just made that up because it sounded funny.  But maybe we can make it a thing!?

I am so stoked to use this "Break Up" stamp set - because let's be honest, there are not enough stamp companies out there telling it like it is!  Break ups need cute hand made cards too!  So here is my rendition of a Break Up gift set!

I feel like we mostly make cards in this cute little stamp industry and I am wracking my brain for out of the box ideas (pun?) so I decided to make a little gift box with a tag and accompanying card for today's little project.

I wanted the card  itself to be simple and cute since I spent too much time on the trinket box!

For the card I simply used an embossing marker and doodled a little heart pattern and then embossed them in clear and white embossing powder for a subtle look and simply embellished with twine and a very true sentiment about this horrible dude! (He was literally the worst - good riddance!)

The trinket box on the other hand...  If you recall from my last blog post that you definitely read in its entirety (its ok if you didn't, but I know you did!) you will know I don't plan out my projects.  I simply get my supplies out and start.  So I had this cute white trinket box and decided to give her some color with my acrylic paint.  Some golden metallic and some coral colors and the a little sprinkle of embossing powder on the wet paint was my starting point.  I THEN decided she needed more texture, and I cannot for the life of me get a good photo but I used clear embossing to add little hearts all over her too!  So cute.  I adorned her with two tags!

The acetate tag I stamped with a waterproof ink pad and embellished with more embossing powder (I might have an addiction) and then tag number two I simply sand papered the surface of some card stock and embossed her too!  Then, all wrapped up with some twine like the matching card!

Love stinks?  Sometimes. Ok, maybe more often than not...

Wrap It Up Already Lady...

I am literally obsessed with the acetate tag on the trinket box and so therefore I plan on finding someone who recently broke up with the worst guy ever and making sure they get this little token of "so-glad-you-dumped-his-ass" asap!

Kings and Queens - it is time to go and make more pretty things!

Be sure to hit me up in the comments and on the socials so we can become lifelong best friends and plan crafting vacations together.

Create something pretty today (and everyday)!

Hugs and High Fives,
