Vintage Snarky Housewife
Share
Hey Roadies! I'm back up on the blog today with a snarky card to share with you! I used Snarky Housewife and Be Kind for today's project. I love the vintage look this card has.
I started off by choosing some patterned paper for my design. I picked a polka dot paper for my vintage vibe. Next I masked off a section on a white A2 sized card base using washi tape. I cut my patterned paper into strips that would fit on my card base while leaving that open space showing.
I stamped one of the sentiments from the Be Kind set using a light aqua ink color. This will serve as a bit of a backdrop for my design.
Next I stamped the Snarky Housewife and colored her in using alcohol markers. I fussy cut her out leaving a thin white border. Next I smooshed the same ink I used to stamp my background onto some white card stock. I stamped some accompanying sentiments from Snarky Housewife using black ink. This is a great way to create colored cardstock that matches exactly with your design!

Now put it all together! I glued down my patterned paper onto the card base. I heat embossed 'Oh sweetie" from the Be Kind set using white embossing powder on black cardstock. I popped up the housewife and all the sentiments using foam tape.
I decided to add a little fun with some embellishments to finish off the card! I love the way this turned out! It has a bit of a clean and simple vibe but still packs a punch! Let me know if you try this design! See ya next time! -Lorena
