Thank You Madam Vice President

Hello Roadies, 

Nolana here popping in with another tutorial. Today I am using the stamps from the lovely Madam Vice President set. 

I wanted to do a scrapbook/story album layout for this to document the momentous occasion of having a female vice president, which was particularly exciting for me because of her Caribbean background, like me. 

I started by creating the story. I always start with the story for these pages because it sets the tone for how I embellish and layer. I wanted to use something iconic from her campaign, so I decided to go with the converse shoes - in all colours, as a reminder that no matter what our background is, we can all achieve greatness in this world. 

Following this, I decided to layer with my favourite star acetate - because we are all shining stars, and as a play on the "star spangled banner".

Then, I layered the top with vellum and stamping from the Madam Vice President stamp set. I love layering as you can tell, and I love stacking stamps one on top the other, I find it very visually appealing to me. 

So I chose some of the stamps that I felt would be great in a stack and to commemorate the inauguration occasion and stamped them on to the vellum using my Stamp Master!
