Snarks and Rec Vol. 2 Tag Flip
by Celia MorseHey Hey Roadies!
Celia from Paper Beats Rock Designs back to share my process for making this Tag Flip featuring Snarks and Rec Vol. 2 and Vol. 1.
After I picked out what papers I wanted to use, I diecut enough to cover both sides of each tag. I also cut each tag out of 110lb cardstock to stabilize them, and sandwiched them between the patterned papers.
Then I went to my Snarks and Rec stamps and selected the sentiment I wanted for each tag. I stamped them all on vellum and cut them out. I used a small stitched heart die to cut out the "friends, waffles, work stamp" and layered it up with a pencil stamp from my stash, as well as a bundle of thread.
The second tag went to everyone's favorite mini horse- not a pony!- Lil Sebastian. I grabbed his icon from Snarks and Rec Vol 1 and the lyric from Andy's song from Vol. 2 and layered them on a diecut star and thread bundle.
For tag #3, I went with a Ron Swanson quote from Vol. 2 and his icon from Vol. 1. I wanted to use grey thread on this one, which I do not own, so I went to my inks and slid a light blue thread across the pad while dabbing it and holding it down with an inking sponge. To make the tag even more masculine I stapled the sentiment down.
My fourth tag was all Leslie! I stamped a bunch of waffles from Vol. 1 with Distress Oxides, colored their butters yellow, and used a couple of bundles of thread behind them. I knew her quote from Vol. 2 wasn't going to fit across the tag so I cut one edge to a banner and let it spill off a little bit.
The last tag was Tom Haverford inspired. There isn't an icon for him, so I went to my stash a found this dude in a suit that reminded me of him. I also stamped out a car from my stash, fussy cut them both out and layered them on tread too.
To finish off the tags, I added some rhinestones and pearls.
This was super fun to make and I'm loving how it turned out. I think I may add more to it later to get Donna and April in there too, but for now it's all done!
