Simple Fancy Font Sentiments by Brianna F
by Brianna FrenchI have had this mushroom pattern paper for a couple of years now and have been dying to incorporate it into one of my cards somehow. I used an A2 note card and covered the background with the pattern paper.
Then using heavy white cardstock I drew and cut a peek-a-boo top layer. I used double sided foam tape to raise the top layer. MAJOR score, I found the absolute perfect coordinating color of cardstock (I am going to call it taupe) to stamp my sentiment on. I prepped the area first using my anti-static bag and then using Versamark ink I stamped the sentiment ‘Hello Friend’ using the Fancy Font Sentiments stamp set, then coated the sentiment with white embossing powder and set it using my heat gun.
Finally, I fussy cut the sentiment and decided to split the sentiment into two separate pieces. I positioned the sentiment in the lower center part of the card front. The part of the sentiment that hangs off into the pattern paper, I cut a small piece of the same double sided foam tape and placed it on the ‘O’ and the ‘D’ to raise the end and allow for the sentiment to not get bent.
As I said, I struggled really hard with not adding anything else to this card. In the end I was extremely pleased with how it turned out.
