Pantone Color of the Year Inspired Card
Share
Hey y'all it is Laura here and I got a Pantone Color of the Year inspired card for you today. This year's Pantone chose two colors, which are my favorite, and they are yellow and grey. If you want to know the specific colors they are PANTONE 17-5104 Ultimate Gray and PANTONE 13-0647 Illuminating.
I used the Chin Up Buttercup stamp set, which unfortunately is retired, and did tone on tone stamping on yellow cardstock. I used a similar yellow ink to the cardstock and made my own pattern paper. I then stamped and heat embossed some flowers on a scrap piece. I used Hero Arts stain pearl satin embossing powder to heat emboss. I then fussy cut the flowers.
I matted the yellow pattern paper to a grey mat and adhered it directly to the card base. I popped the flowers up with foam squares and adhered them over already tamped flowers. I added some yellow gems from Lynnea Rainbow that I have been hoarding since they are no longer offered. You can use what you have for gems or leave them off.
I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment 'Happy Birthday' from the Basics: Sentiment Strips Separated and heat embossed in white onto a scrap of the same grey colored cardstock. Then popped that up with foam squares.
