No Brain Wandering Today!
by Brianna JacksonHello Roadies! This week I'm so excited to share a card I made using Live From Snack Time. This is a hilariously fun set made up of quotes from little ones. If you've been around kids for any amount of time, you know their thought processes produce some hilarious tangents and this set showcases some of those quotes.
I started this card off by making a background with Collage Elements Vol 1. I repeatedly stamped the hexagons with clear embossing ink to make a pattern, then covered with gold embossing powder and heat set. After it had cooled, I loosely watercolored with blues and greens and yellows. I carefully went over the embossing with a wet wipe to remove any excess watercolor.
The sentiment I chose is perfect for days when my brain just isn't working for me. I stamped the sentiment on vellum with black Staz-On, then matted it on a piece of shiny gold cardstock. I struggle with hiding adhesive when using vellum, so for this piece I applied tape runner to the back of the gold cardstock and simply wrapped my vellum around the edges and adhered to the back of the gold cardstock.
The rest was simple. I adhered the background to a black card base, popped the sentiment panel on with foam tape, and voila! A shiny, stunning card that is perfect for anyone who understands that some days it's best not to wander and just stick with the main brain space.
This set never fails to crack me up. If you enjoyed it, I recommend headingĀ over to Ink Road Stamps to grab it and use the code BriannaJ10 at checkout to save 10%!
