Miss You

Miss You

I created this Miss You card for my long distance best friend, who's favorite color is blue!

I started by water coloring the background using Distress Oxide inks in Broken China, Tumbled Glass, and Weathered Wood.

Using a stencil and Stickles glitter gel I added shimmery star clouds on top of the watercolor.

For the focal point I stamped the rainbow from BASICS: Rainbow Builder 2 in shades of blue ink and gold heat embossing. I fussy cut around the image and added extra layers of card stock behind for dimension.

For the sentiment I used Fancy Font Sentiment and the coordinating Fancy Font Sentiment Plate Die. I cut the die, lay it into the negative space in my Misti, then stamp and gold heat emboss. I cut extra die cuts to layer behind for dimension. If you can't tell, I love dimension!

I added gold heat embossing around the edges of the card panel, and added it to a card base blended with blue ink. I decided not to add any extra embellishments because the card already has so much shine.

To complete the inside of the card I stamped the cloud from BASICS: Rainbow Builder 2 in light blue ink, then a sentiment from Fancy Font Sentiments in dark blue. I added a strip of this gorgeous washi, which was a gift from my bestie who will be receiving this card! I had an extra rainbow from when I was deciding on a color combo, so I added it to the envelope. I hope it makes someone smile while it travels to it's destination!
