I Still Believe in Heroes Pocket Page
by Nolana LynchHello Roadies!
Nolana here with a tutorial using the Waves Background Stamp, Heroes Volume 1 and the Hello from Bella Floral Frame.
I wanted the Waves to the the highlight of the spread and I thought they'd be perfect as the background of a pocket and as a border.
I started by creating the border for the scrapbook/story page. I used 4 distress oxides - Iced Spruce Speckled Egg Blue, Tumbled Glass and Salvaged Patina.
I placed washi tape 1 inch away from the edge of the stamp in a perpendicular manner.
Then placed ink in an ombre fashion on the edges. I used my Stamping Tool and it stamped perfectly. Then I turned the page around to the diagonal corner and did this again.
From this, I created the pocket, I used the entire stamp and a piece of white cardstock to the size of the stamp.
Using embossing ink and my stamp tool, I stamped the paper, then added Egyptian Turquoise Embossing Powder to the top, and embossed using my heat tool.
Following this, I used a piece of Vellum and embossed Hello "I still believe in Heroes" and stuck this on to the top of the pocket.
Then I stuck the pocket on to the background and allowed to dry.
At this point, I worked on my journaling for my pocket card. I sized my card to 3inch x 4 inch in Canva, and printed and cut down to size. I then used an index tab and stamped Thank You So Much from the Sentiment strips on the tag label using Salvaged Patina and stuck this to the top of the index tab.
And voila! I slipped the journal card in the pocket and punched the holes to add to my Story Album.
