Hello Lovely, ft. Bella Flora
by Carol StubbsYo, yo, yo! Back again for another one.
Here again with probably one of my favorite and most versatile sets: Bella Flora. For this one, I used the stamps as well as the dies.
Let's jump in!
To start, I didn't have an idea for what I wanted to do, but I knew I wanted a frame on my card. So, I started cutting up paper. I went in one direction, and then scrapped it, and pivoted.
After coloring and cutting out my flowers, I laid out the basic idea for my card.
And then got to work on the second layer.
I grabbed some light brown paper from my stash, and used clear ink to stamp some flowers from the Bella Flora set. Just enough to make an impression. No blending, just tone on tone stamping.
Please ignore my horrible manicure. I only have so much time in my day. LOL
To position my strip, I first laid it out on the panel, and drew the faintest line with a pencil. I removed the strip, added glue below the pencil mark, and repositioned the paper strip and cut away the excess.
To the frame, I added a piece of scrap vellum. I positioned foam tape behind the frame only, then adhered it to the panel. For the sentiment, I used my Bella Flora dies to cut out "Hello" out of foil. As you can see, I used liquid glue to adhere it to the vellum.
As a finishing touch, as always, I added some gemstones. I feel like it really ties everything together.
