Happy Father's Day Card using Basics Sentiment Strips
Share
Hey there Roadies!
It's Celia here to show you guys the Father's Day Card I created using the Basics: Sentiment Strips. First I cut some craft cardstock to make a top folding card, as well as a piece of glitter paper to 5.25 x 4in, and a blue piece to 5 x 3.75in.
After that, I grabbed the "Boy Mom" stamp set and used the gears repeatedly down one side in navy. I also inked the edges with a brown ink to give the blue panel a little more emphasis. To save a little bit of the glitter card stock, I gutted it with my scoreboard and razor knife.
I then stamped the "Happy Father's Day" from the Basics: Sentiment Strips on a scrap of craft paper with the same navy and clear embossed over it. I matted it on some blue paper, then the brown glitter paper to match the front card panel.
Next, I snagged my "Snarks and Rec Vol. 1" set and stamped the Ron icon as well as the "Treat Yo Self" and "You're like an angel with no wings" sentiments on my inside panel which I clear embossed too. Then, I went back to the "Boy Mom" stamp and ghost stamped the gears once more on the inside panel.
Then it was time to assemble the card! After I glued the panels to the card I layered my sentiment over my Ron stamp and added a few rhinestones and gears to the front.
