Happy Birthday Collage
Share
Hey, hey all! Here I am, again with another really, really fun card. Literally, this card takes zero crafty skills! Which, I personally love because I don't always have the brain power to make a very detailed card.
For this card, I used Basics Collage Elements Vol 1, as well as Amazing Human for the birthday sentiment. Let's jump in! But first, the finished product:
Tah dah!
So, first and as always, I didn't have a plan. (shock!). So, I started with some new dies I wanted to play with. I wanted to use up some colored cardstock, so I Started there, and then cut out the same frame from white cardstock, so I can decorate it.
I got so into the groove, I completely forgot to take pictures of every possible step. I used some dark blue ink to color each white strip. Then used different shades of blue to stamp the collage elements all over, as well as some black ink to really bring emphasis and pops of contrast.
As a final touch, I heat embossed the sentiment, from the Amazing Human set, in silver. I didn't stand out as much as I wanted, so I tried heat embossing over it in white. It didn't work very well, so I left the others alone.
And wham, bam, thank you, ma'am! That's my card, finished! I taped the blue panels to the frame using washi tape. And then glued the whole framed panel on the front of a card.
Thanks for sticking with me. If you'd like to save some money when you shop, use code CAROL10 and you'll receive 10% off your entire order!
Stay tuned for next week when I come back with another badass project!
