Fancy Font Sentiments Mini Cards
by Celia MorseWhat's up Roadies!
Celia from Paper Beats Rock Designs here to show y'all a couple of mini cards I created using the Fancy Font Sentiments set along with Happy Mail Lucy and Inked Girl Vanessa.
First, I cut a piece of cardstock across twice at 3 inches and folded the in half to create two 3x4.25 card bases. Then I grabbed a couple of distress oxide inks in Mowed Lawn, Rustic Wilderness, and Specked Egg and a couple of edge stencils. I then inked up the front of one card to create a Summery background scene.
For the background of my second card, I grabbed a scrap of blue cardstock, ran it thru my Sizzix in a polka dot embossing folder, and attached it to the front of my card.
After that, I stamped my images out on scraps of cardstock, colored them up with alcohol markers, and fussy cut them out.
Then I diecut out some postal stamps and heat embossed the "Hi" sentiment on one...
... And embossed "Hello Friend" on my first card with violet embossing powder.
Then I stamped and embossed a sentiment on the insides of my cards.
I stamped, colored, and fussycut a bunch of hearts from the Lucy Happy Mail set and attached them, as well as my postal stamps directly to my card. I popped Vanessa up on foam and attached her too after adding highlights to her hair and eyes with white and glittery gel pens.
I added highlights to Lucy and popped her up on foam too. I also added a pair of hearts directly to the card to bring in a bit more of the pink and purple.
I love mixing stamp sets and I think these "just because" cards came out super fun and cheery!
