Do you feel Lucky? Well, do ya?

Happy Fall Roadies!

Snuggle up in those cozy pjs, grab a cup of your favorite hot tea, and get crafting! or just reading this blog is fine by me. By now, hopefully things are calming down in your life with the end of summer, and sinking into the beautiful weather that fall brings. I am here making cards, and sipping on my favorite NON-pumpkin spice fall tea. I was thinking about how we all think about luck differently. I don't find myself very lucky, even though I wear a set of lucky charms on my necklace, and I try not to step on any cracks on the sidewalks. I HAVE been super lucky to have been accepted to this Design Team, and I am very lucky to have had this chance from Lara. What makes you feel lucky?

I am using the Lucky stamps set that's just been released and I love it! It's a great size, and comes with decorative bubbly stamps to make cute backgrounds. I did not use them to do my cards, but the next ones I will! I have ideas now.. So onto my first magical card... I used a cloud stencil and some distress ink in Tumbled Glass. I am still learning to make clean cute clouds, but I think they turned out alright. If you're having messy problems, don't worry! Not all clouds look the same, nor are they clean crisp and perfect. :) I decided to make this prettier with some glittery blue paper I got from the dollar store. (Dollarama, and Dollar Tree are my go to for cheap glittery paper!)
Then I had this wicked rainbow paper I had watercolored months ago that has been begging me to use it. I keep passing by it in the background paper basket that I have on my desk. So here it is folks - my favorite gold embossing powder from WOW embossing, and just basic watercolor inks from Michaels. It's much brighter in person! Do you like to heat emboss? have you tried it? If not, I suggest starting out slow with a basic set of silver, gold, copper, black and white powders. Get a good anti-static pouch you can pat down onto your paper project, and a good heat embossing gun. I wouldn't cheap out there with that, since it's getting extremely hooooooot.
Keep in mind too, that embossing powder tends to get...everywhere! and that's okay! if you get it on the project where you didn't want it, just dress it up with sequins, or other gems.. :)
