Celebrate Shaker

Celebrate Shaker

Everyone loves a shaker card! I tried a flat shaker for the first time and love how it turned out. It will go through the mail super easy!

I started by stamping the balloons from Mari Party onto a piece of purple and blue patterned paper.

I wanted the design to cover the entire card, so I drew in more balloon strings with a black pen.

Using sticky notes, I stamped and cut a mask for the balloons.

I stamped flowers from Bella Flora all over the card front, then removed the mask so the flowers would look like they are behind the balloons.

Now to create the flat shaker! I cut a piece of acetate slightly larger than my card panel, then cut the corners at a diagonal so it would be easy to fold. The blue tape is just to keep the acetate in the proper place as I score the acetate and fold.

I scored and adhered the sides with strong double sided adhesive. After sealing 3 sides, I added 2 sizes of iridescent chunky glitter.

After adhering the last side to seal in all the glitter, I glued the shaker onto an a2 card base. It needed some definition, so I added a black border using thin strips of cardstock.

To complete the card I stamped and cut out the "Celebrate" from Fancy Fonts Sentiments, then embellished with purple gems.

For the inside of the card I stamped a flower from Bella Flora in light blue ink, then Happy Birthday from Amazing Human on top.
