Can't touch these cards!

Roadies, I am back! This time with two bright, simple cards featuring the Not A Hugger set! This set is near and dear to my heart, with lots of snarky, punny sentiments, and super cute cactus and succulent images!
For the first card, I used the "don't be a prick" sentiment and the prickly pear cactus. I stamped in black pigment ink on watercolor paper and let the ink dry. Once dry, I used watercolor to paint the cactus and highlight part of the sentiment.
I let the watercolor air dry and picked out coodinating patterned paper. I'm trying to use more of my paper collection, and matting is a great way to show it off. I used stacked, stitched rectangle dies on my layers, then adhered them one by one to the card base. I find starting with the base and the bottom layer, then working up is easier for me than starting with the top layers and working down.
It felt like it was missing something, but I wanted to keep it clean. I decided to use Glossy Accents to coat my cactus and planter. That extra shine added enough interest to finish the card.
This design is perfect for a quick set of cards. I grabbed the "can't touch this!" sentiment and a ball cactus for this card, but followed the same process as before. I used different colors on the planter and chose patterned paper that matched those two colors.
I couldn't decide which word to highlight on this card, so it's cleaner than the first. I love both! I'm going to have so much fun trying out all of the sentiments and plants in this set!
