Black Lives Matter
by Lorena Casillas Hello Roadies! I'm so happy and excited to be on the blog today using the Black Lives Matter set for my project! I'm so happy to see a stamp set like this available in craft community. Yet another reason why I love Ink Road Stamps!
"In a racist society, it's not enough to be non-racist we must be anti-racist." - Angela Davis
I absolutely love this quote! I started by stamping some sentiments onto black cardstock. I prepped my cardstock using anti-static powder then stamped using clear embossing ink. I sprinkled on some fine detail gold embossing powder, tapped off the excess and heat set.
I stamped the fists onto cream colored cardstock using a light ink color and then colored them in with alcohol markers. I prepped with anti static powder then restamped with clear embossing ink and sprinkled the same fine detail gold embossing powder. Tapped off the excess and then heat set. I colored in the cream card stock using a black marker and made sure I went over the edges.
Now put it all together! I wanted the sentiments to be the focal point of the card so I opted for some patterned paper that went with my color scheme. I popped the sentiments up with foam tape and added some gold sequins.
I'm so happy with the way this card turned out, elegant and impactful. I love that the sentiments are the main focal point of this beautiful card. Lots of love to my black and brown bothers and sisters. -Lorena
