BFF Birthday Card

Hello Roadies! I'm so happy to be back on the design team for another term! Yay! We have a super awesome team bringing you lots of amazing inspo on all Ink Road goodies! For my first project of the term I'll be using the Basics: Sentiment strips(separated) to create a fun birthday card for a BFF.
I started off by stamping the floral cluster from Basics: Flower 1 stamp & die combo. I stamped it onto some white cardstock using alcohol marker friendly ink.
I colored it in using some bright cheerful colors then die cut it out using the coordinating die.
Next I took a white A2 sized card base and taped it down to my work surface to do some stamping. I masked off about 1.25" inch off of the right side of my card base. I stamped one of the Tiny Dot Clusters using a purplish ink all over the left side of the tape.
I accidentally stamped on the white part that was masked but didn't want to start over or change the design. So I trimmed down a piece of white card stock cut to 1" x 5.5" long and used an embossing folder to add texture. I adhered that over my boo-boo along with a thin strip of black cardstock. Problem solved!
Next I used the same purple marker I used to color in some of the flowers and colored some white cardstock with it. This is a great way to make your own colored cardstock that exactly matches your design. Make sure it's completely dry then prep with anti-static powder. I stamped 3 sentiments from the Basics: Sentiment strips using clear embossing ink. I sprinkled white embossing powder then tapped off the excess and heat set.
I popped up the beautiful floral cluster using foam tape and set it towards the right of my card base. I trimmed down the sentiments and popped them up using foam tape. To finish this off I added a few iridescent sequins for a bit of sparkle. I hope you all like this design! Let me know if you give it a try! Xoxo-Lorena
