Back to the Basics: Strips that is!by Leah Monroe
This is my first blog entry for Ink Road Stamps and I could not be more excited! About as excited as I am about this card. I wanted to showcase how awesome these Basic Sentiment Strips are! They go with everything and I wanted to mix them up with the Bun Intended series. Another favorite.
I stamped both Bun Intended and Bun Intended 4 onto 110lb smooth bright white Hammermill paper and colored them with Copic markers. I then cut out the gold foil paper with my die cutting machine, and cut out the middle as well. I saved the middle for another project (don't we all?). I used pop up tape onto the foil and placed the Bunhead and Bunhead 4 inside the frame. I used the Basic Sentiment Strips with white embossing powder onto black cardstock for the Bff: Best Friend Forever sentiment.
For the background paper, I just went through my enormous stack of paper pads and chose out this great black and white piece. I matted it with some black and placed it onto a light blue card base. I love how clean and crisp this card is, and that shine from the gold.
