Toddler Fury!
So my son is a 13 year old little comedian! He spotted the
Heroes Volume 1 and
Full Circle; Assemble stamp sets on my desk he immediately was so stoked. I asked him what I should create with them and he said I should make a page for our family scrapbook. I recently have been going through so many photos of my kids and came across this cute photo that was PERFECT for this stamp set.
So I grabbed the stamps and I grabbed a page and his photo and brainstormed. I felt strongly that BOLD Red Blue Green Purple ETC has been over done and is very predictable. Still amazing, but predictable. So I wanted to keep it unique. I figured that a neutral and metallic palette could be fun! So I ran with it!
Assemble (the layout)!
I found this great geometric gold metallic paper to play with and I wanted to stick with the circle element so I cut a circle out and used it as a window for his cute little photo. I also embossed some circle details and then just started puzzle piecing the rest together
I just love the embossing! I have a little baggie full of scrap embossing powder that I collect if I only have a little bit left after a project. Or if it gets combined with other colors. So this baggie is full of every embossing powder I have! It always has a fun effect.
Isn't it so great!?
I did have a hard time figuring out which sentiment to use for this layout. I almost went with LOVE YOU 3000 but decided it was not as great for the actual photo. I figured it needed a sentiment that matched the photo more.
I Believe in Toddler Heroes!
Ok well we came, we assembled, we conquered! Landis was about two in this photo and today he is 13 and I am fully in my feelings today! He was so little funny and goofy! Photos like this remind me of those precious times.
What did we LEARN!?
--Embossing powder left overs SHOULD NEVER be thrown out! Collect that and make a special little container for it. I use little tiny zip-lock baggies. You could use an old medication bottle or if you have an empty embossing powder bottle then SCORE!
--Super Hero designs don't NEED to be bold and colorful. This neutral color scheme was so fun to use and I think it helps to keep the focus on his photo and not the design.
--Old family photos WILL make you happy and ugly cry and that is just simply OK!
Ok friends. We love you. We need you. We adore you!
xoxo
