Hi Ink Road friends, Ali here! I have a super fun layout to share today. It is all about scrapping school photos! Alphabet stamps are so perfect for creating school designs, and this is exactly what I have done with this layout!
I used the Block Party Outline Alphas to make a border around my background. I won’t lie, I wasn’t aiming for perfection here. I wanted some of the letters to be a little wonky, to me that looks more like “school.” My first grader writes his letters backwards and a little wonky sometimes, so I didn’t want to be a complete perfectionist. AKA, don’t stress about it!
After stamping the background, I created the composition notebook with Fancy Pants Designs “Take Note” collection. I used one of the brag cards from the collection to stamp the sentiment from Compliments, Vol. 1. Don’t you just love how cohesive the sentiments and alphas are? I do!
To make the notebook look more realistic I added a little tab and I couldn’t resist stamping it! The little hearts from the Blended set fit like a dream.
I know a lot of people are fearful about using stamps on a layout, because…what if you mess up? Trust me, I get it! My advice is…just do it! If you mess up, you can always try again, or cover it up with an embellishment (because we all love embellies, right?!). Don’t aim for perfection, just have fun with it!
