Today our featured design team member is Natalie! Let’s get to know her a little bit better.
I’m a wife and mother to two boys and one pup, and you can find us on adventures every weekend to supply my scrappy little habit. In my non-domestic life, I’m a bracelet stacker extraordinaire who loves tacos and travel, and nurses a mean coffee habit which fuels my attempts to read 5 books simultaneously.
Try as I may, I can’t sit and scrap—so why take up space with a chair!? I’m a messy crafter, and my craft space is constantly being rearranged to better organize my supplies, as I’m not a huge purger. My dream space would include a stand up table in the middle of the room with drawers and shelves all the way about!
Step into your time machine—I started crafting about 20 years ago. I was 12 and without much crafting guidance or money, so give me a pair of decorative scissors and we’re off! It’s so wild to see how far the industry has come, and my, how I am grateful.
Papercrafting has always appealed to me, from the moment I heard people did such things as cut up photos to stick down with pretty paper and stickers, I knew I wanted to do that. The pages are dated, but I am beyond thrilled I have documentation of my life from my own perspective as an adolescent. Now I have evolved into the memory keeper for my family.
I love to mix traditional 12 x 12 layouts with other sizes and pocket pages within the same album. I typically do a yearly album chronologically, as well as separate albums for special trips and vacations. Usually a page isn’t complete without a bit of sparkle—sequins, metallic foiling, glitter, shine—yes yes yes yes!
