Now let’s take a look at some beautiful examples from our design team to help you get inspired.
It’s New Year’s Day and anyone that wakes up before 10am deserves to be personally congratulated! This color combo inspired coffee cups, barely there hearts and of course a sassy sentiment.
To create the background, I arranged the hearts from “Bonus Mom” on my clear block and created my own pattern using barely beige ink. To tie in the red I added a scalloped frame and no card is complete without a little bling. Here’s to a #gorgeous 2018!
Happy New Year!! I am so excited I got the color challenge this month because I had this awesome idea to pull a ton of my favorite photos from this year and say “so long to 2017” but remember all the amazing things it was full of. Our year was a hard one but it really helped me to go back and see all those happy memories and experiences in the midst of chaos. I might recreate this layout every year from now on because it’s seriously one of my favorite ideas to date.
I wanted to create my own unique patterns to back the 2018 cut file so I pulled all the tiny stamps from various stamp sets. This just goes to show you that you don’t have to be limited to the theme of any one stamp set because there are always little hidden treasures in there that work for any occasion.
Today’s card is all about love (in preparation for February…). It’s been a few years since I’ve celebrated Valentine’s Day – not that I don’t love a box of chocolate and some flowers, but we (husband and I) tend to skip over the special day and instead celebrate our wedding anniversary the following week. So…keeping all that in mind, I decided to take the colours from this challenge and create a LOVE card!
I’m using five hearts from two Ink Road Stamp sets: Blended and Bun Intended (Did you know there are also hearts in the Full Circle and Call Me Maybe sets too?) Alternating in ink colours I stamp my crazy heart background. I adhere the ‘love love love’ (Silhouette file) and added some stitched lines with my sewing machine and gold sequins for added interest. Though the stamping took some time – it was well worth it. I love this colour combination and can’t wait to see what you come up with in this month’s colour challenge!
I grabbed a few magical bits from Just a Number & A Beautiful Mess and created this filler page for my Disney album with this month’s color challenge. I popped up some of the stars for added page dimension. I alternated the ink colors for the different stamps in each row.
