Hi crafty friend! Lisa here today to show you how to create a fun but non traditional Halloween page using the Frond of You stamp set!
I drew the inspiration for this layout from my daughters Halloween costume! The leaves I painted onto it to make her Lilo matched the leaves in the Frond of You stamp set perfectly!! To begin, I used my anti static powder tool and prepped a piece of cherry red cardstock. Using the larger frond stamp, I inked it up with VersaMark and then covered them with a fine white detail embossing powder. Using my heat tool, I set the embossing powder and then trimmed down the embossed piece to fit a little more than half the height of the photo. Using a scalloped boarder punch, I created a navy blue trim for the red embossed piece.
For more texture, I added pieces of doily to the top right and bottom left of the embossed strip and then, to continue the frond motif, I added a few more embossed leaves going in a diagonal from top left to bottom right on the white cardstock, creating a ghosting effect.
I finished off the page by adding a few tiny word stickers by the larger photo, adding my title and journaling, and a few splatters of mists in navy blue. I matted the entire page on a Navy colored cardstock and added a doodle boarder around the edge.
Thank you so much for joining me today and hope this inspires you to think outside the box next time you are creating a project for holiday or theme!! Have a crafty day! xo Lisa
