Full Circle Christmas Journal Decoration with Liz

November 22, 2017

Hey, y’all! It’s Liz. I’m here to share a super creative way to add some Christmas cheer in your planner or journal using some basic shapes from the Full Circle, Bun Intended, and #beautifulmess stamp sets. I love Christmas as much as the next person, but I’m also super loyal to Thanksgiving. lol This means that I won’t turn on Christmas music, put out Christmas decoration, or decorate my planner Christmas-y until after Thanksgiving. I’m all about a holiday that focuses on food! But once Thanksgiving is over, I’m more than ready for the joy and happiness that Christmas brings. 🙂

I knew that I really wanted my planner that I use as a daily journal to be prepped and ready for the most wonderful time of the year, but I only had a few Christmas related stickers and no Christmas stamps. While I knew that I wanted to use the wreath from the #beautifulmess stamp set and the circle that reminded me of a grapevine wreath from the Full Circle set, I didn’t want them as actual wreaths in my journal as it would take up too much space. So, by only stamping part of each wreath on the left top side of my journal, it makes it appear more as Christmas garland than as wreaths.

I then used the smallest dot from the Full Circle set to make groups of three red berries on the larger wreaths and added them in singles on the “grapevine wreath”. To further add to the Christmas vibe, I added a few poinsettia stickers to my garlands and using the tiny dot cluster from the Bun Intended stamp set to make groups of smaller berries.

After working with the smallest dot from the Full Circle stamp set, I realized that it along with the next biggest dot in the same set would be the perfect bases for some hanging ornaments. So, I just alternated colors, sizes, and placement in both the top left and top right corners, added an outline and string with a black pen, and added the reflection with a white ink pigment pen to complete my lovely little groups of ornaments. 🙂 Now, I’m all ready to be in the Christmas spirit and to record all my favorite holiday memories for the first “official” week of the Christmas season. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all!

xoxo,

Liz
