Hello everyone and welcome back to another Friday Feature! Today it’s all about Compliments Vol.2 and our team once again has some beautiful projects to share. We really hope you’ll get inspired.
Each town has its own quirks…the thing that makes it set apart from the next town. We live in a small town with a Hispanic population of about 90%…which means AMAZING Mexican Food EVERYWHERE. A big part of our small town culture is…the Taco Truck. We have more taco trucks than drive-through coffee stands. We have even more Mexican Food Restaurants than we do Taco Trucks. Like literally one on every corner. Replace Starbucks in a metropolitan area where all four corners of an intersection are Starbucks store fronts and you have our town except more orange and burnt red. It only seemed fitting to give proper homage to our love of said Mexican Food while we have lived here for the past 7 years. That’s why when I saw the sentiment “You make me happier than Taco Tuesday” I had to use it in a couple of creative ways on this Traveler’s Notebook spread. On the right side I stamped the entire sentiment at an angle in a repetitive pattern to make my own background and then to tie the right side in with the left I simply stamped it once to serve as my journaling because, really, there is nothing more to say than “You, Mr. Taco Truck….make me happier than Taco Tuesday”.
The Compliments stamp sets are so wonderfully versatile. I was able to pair one of the sentiments with a Christmas sentiment from the Holla Days stamp set to make this sweet ombre shaker card. I hope you grab one from the shop, you can use these sentiments all year round.
